Australia's guide to getting a free PSP

Before we get straight to the instructions to getting a free PSP, a little background information regarding why you can receive free PSP and gifts as advertised on the internet.

Background information:
To put it simply, promotional companies request that you complete offers and refer friends to receive your free PSP. The cost of the PSP is covered by you, through completing these offers as companies pay to be placed on these websites that provide free PSPs. However, most of these websites ask you to complete offers/trials that require you to hand over your bank/credit card details. Instead, getPSP.blogspot.com has found a website that requires no passing over of such sensitive information. Now, enough of this. Let's get to it!

Instructions:
1. Create an account at 'freepay'
Click on the freepay button below to create an account at freepay. This will be used to complete the process in referring friends and to complete an offer.
Please use the button above to create your account. This in turn, if you complete an offer, allows me to be credited for having referred you to freepay. I have invested the time to create this guide for you, and the least you could do is provide me referrals. Thanks.

Once you have clicked the button, you are directed to the website.

• Select the PSP option
• Enter your email address (you may be required to use other email addresses as well - depending on whether the 'good' offer is made availible to you)
  
• Create a password
• Uncheck "Send me promotional emails from Gratis Internet and/or third-parties." (This prevents spam being sent to your email account)
• Read the Terms and Conditions
• Click the button 'CLICK HERE TO CLAIM YOUR GIFT!'

2. Enter your shipping details.
You are then directed to the next page where you are asked to enter the address to which you wish your gift to be shipped to.

BEFORE YOU DO: ensure you enter the year of your birth as 1990 or younger, to ensure the database recognises you as a person who cannot complete offers such as credit-cards. This tells the database that you are under 18, and will only present to you offers that an under 18 person can complete. This allows you to complete offers that do not ask you to hand over bank details or credit details.

If any other websites pop-up, you do not have to complete those and can simply exit those. Enter your details in there. (Please be aware that gifts cannot be sent to P.O boxes).

Press continue once you have finished entering your details in.

3. Complete an offer.
You are nearly at the end of the process. Aside from referring friends, you are now required to complete only one offer. Select any of the free ringtone offers. The only details you will need to provide is your mobile phone number. The problem that arises from taking on such an offer is that by entering your mobile number in, you are subscribing to future song downloads that lead to you being charged for it.

To counter this, you subscribe for the single free song and then SMS back to the service that you wish to unsubscribe. This prevents you from being charged on any future songs being sent to you. The only cost involved is possibly the SMS to confirm and unsubscribe from the service - a mere 40c in SMS for a $400 Sony PSP (that's a 1000% profit).

In getPSP.blogspot.com's example, a Damien Leith ringtone offer will be used to illustrate the procedure.

• Click on the Free Damien Leith Realtone offer, a website will pop-up. This is to subscribe to the service.

(NB: You may not see any free ringtone offers, and this is because freepay makes offers availible at various times. Hence, you should be prepared to create multiple accounts, using another email address - just sign up for another hotmail/gmail account.)

To create another account, click here:


Enter your mobile number into the space provided.

• You will receive an SMS shortly to ask you to SMS the word "Ok" (without the quotation marks).
• You will then receive two more SMSs from the service, confirming your registration and providing you a link to the ringtone. One of these SMSs provide you the code to unsubscribe.
  

• Now you must send a SMS back to the service (in this case, it was 194224), and SMS the phrase to unsubscribe (in this case, it was "WBB3 STOP", without quotation marks). The unsubscribe code is sent to your phone during confirmation and is also found on the website (most likely at the bottom in small text).
  
• You will receive your final SMS saying you have unsubscribed from their services.

You will now receive no more SMS for ringtones that are paid under subscription. And now, you have completed your offer! Your completed offer will be credited to you in around 15 days.

4. Referring friends.
Click the 'Refer Friends' tab as shown next to the first red starFor the Sony PSP, you are required to refer eight(8) friends to become referrals. Your friends will only become referrals once they have created an account on freepay using your referral link AND completes and is credited for an offer. Refer to as many people as you can, you can't guarantee that everyone is willing to participate. If they have trouble with how to go about using freepay, direct them back to this website - but tell them to sign up using your own referral link - so you may be credited.

In the screenshot above, there is a yellow tick next a blurred out email address. This is a potential referee. This suggests the person has signed up, however has not completed an offer. The yellow tick will become green to suggest that the person has completed an offer and is now credited to you as a referral.

NB: The join freepay button at the very beginning includes my own referral link, so that once you sign up and complete an offer, I may be credited with the referral. 5. The Waiting Game.
Now that you have referred your friends, you now must wait for your offer and referrals to be credited onto your account. Once this has been done, freepay will ship you your free PSP. Now all that took was some time, little effort and 40c.
